Front design.
Defining the front design are elegantly styled LED headlights which stand out by virtue of their upside-down L arrangement and their focused contour. In combination with the distinctive kidney grille with Mesh Design, the large hexagonal air inlets deliver a self-assured statement.
Side design.
Due to the long wheelbase, the short overhangs and compact proportions, the BMW M340i conveys an especially dynamic image in the side view. The flowing contour of the roof line interacts with the 19” wheels to emphasise the elegance of the vehicle.
Rear design.
The distinctive bumper creates an especially athletic appearance for the BMW M340i. Vertical reflectors and broad tailpipe trims with a chrome element in the M Sport package reinforce this effect. The large diffuser between the tailpipes rounds off the sporty and dynamic look.

Traction is optimised with the help of an electronically operated device that reduces the difference in revolution speed between the rear wheels.
8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
The 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission offers incredibly sporty gear changes. Whether automatic or manual using gearshift paddles or gear lever – for comfortable coasting or incredibly dynamic driving. In SPORT mode and with the gear lever in the left-hand S/M position, the gear shifts are configured for the best performance.
M Sport brake.
The M Sport brake has four-piston fixed callipers at the front and single-piston floating callipers at the rear in blue with the M designation and features large brake discs to ensure an outstanding braking performance.
Variable sport steering.
The Variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. It reacts to the angle of the steering wheel with varying steering ratios. This improves handling when driving more dynamically and reduces the effort needed to steer when parking and turning.
M Adaptive Suspension
With the adaptive M chassis with variable shock absorber adjustment, the characteristics of the chassis can be individually adjusted – from comfortable to particularly sporty with pronounced agile handling.
