Striking
The front of the all-electric BMW iX has been reinterpreted in a futuristic style. The vertically aligned BMW kidney grille particularly highlights the progressive appearance of the SAV.
Aerodynamic
The generously proportioned rectangular contours around the wheel arches consciously focus attention on the wheels. The flush door handles, the frameless doors and the window outline, known as the “Streamflow”, that tapers towards the rear are all harmoniously integrated into the appearance.
Sleek
Large surfaces and a seamlessly integrated tailgate produce a modern presence. The large diffuser elements optimise aerodynamics and, together with the flat underbody, improve range.

Minimalist interior design.
The interior design is modern and pared down to the essentials – a focus which can be noted in the displays and controls. As the central control element, the glassy iDrive Controller on the centre console is framed by an elegant control panel made of FSC-certified wood.
Lounge seating in the rear.
Thanks to the absence of the central tunnel, the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 offers a spacious lounge atmosphere for the rear passengers. Additional options for the rear seats include heating and 3D loudspeakers integrated into the headrests. The rear seat backrest splits in a 40 : 20 : 40 ratio to extend the capacity of the luggage compartment.
Panorama glass roof.
The full-length, "Sky Lounge" panoramic glass roof creates a generous sense of space and a relaxed lounge atmosphere within the cabin. It can be electrochromatically shaded for more privacy and, since there is no need for an interior headliner, it offers passengers even more headroom with a modern feel.
BMW Curved Display.
The BMW Curved Display, serves as the central display and control element for the fully digital stage of the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50. The 12.3″ information display merges with the 14.9″ Control Display to form a single unit and creates the impression of a free-floating picture frame on the instrument panel.
THE ALL-ELECTRIC BMW iX xDrive50 WITH 523 HP.
With two powerful electric motors and BMW xDrive electric all-wheel 523 hp propels the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The instantly available torque and stepless acceleration from a standing start allow the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 to respond precisely and spontaneously to every movement of the accelerator pedal and deliver a smooth driving experience.
AIR SUSPENSION
The Adaptive 2-axle air suspension ensures extremely comfortable driving with great driving dynamics. Unlike steel suspension, air suspension consists of air-filled rubber pads that keep the vehicle evenly elevated – regardless of the driving mode and even when carrying a heavy load – as the air pressure inside the pads is constantly adjusted.
HOLISTIC SUSTAINABILITY IN THE ALL-ELECTRIC BMW iX xDrive50.
When compared to an SAV with a comparably powerful combustion engine, the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 emits 45% fewer greenhouse gas emissions over its entire life cycle thanks to the comprehensive sustainability concept. The reason lies in the use of electricity from exclusively renewable energies during production as well as the use of natural and recycled materials – such as the floor mats produced 100% from Econyl.
RETHINKING DESIGN WITH THE ALL-ELECTRIC BMW iX xDrive50.
Generously proportioned surfaces and characteristic lines give the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 its uniquely monolithic shape. Every detail blends seamlessly into the modern design language and gives the vehicle an appearance of being created from a single mould. The aerodynamic design of the panels was decisive in achieving the outstanding cd value of 0.25, along with specific features, such as the window outline that tapers towards the rear, known as the "Streamflow". Flush handles and frameless doors reveal the pioneering spirit of the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50.
THE ALL-ELECTRIC BMW iX xDrive50 SHY TECH CONCEPT.
The Shy Tech concept focuses on the passengers and allows the modern technology in the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 to blend into the background until needed or explicitly desired. This invisible intelligence can be experienced in many details of the exterior and interior – such as the kidney grille, which functions as an intelligent surface and houses camera technology, radar functions, state-of-the-art sensor technology and heating elements. Other examples include the invisibly embedded speakers of the audio system and the minimalist button design for the interior.
LIVING SPACE ON WHEELS.
The interior of the all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 is a unique place to unwind with an architecture inspired by modern interior design. Its elements – such as the flat dashboard with the large BMW Curved Display and the slim seats – all resemble pieces of furniture with their high-quality choice of colours and materials. The free-standing floating centre console, the absence of a centre tunnel and the largest Panorama glass roof ever installed in a BMW create an impressive feeling of space that invites you to linger.
